Fall Forest Adventure!

from Rhode Island Accessible Forest School Community & Boston Private Tutors

Was your child too young for BPT’s “Build, Be Bold, and Belong” summer camp this year? Do you prefer or need outdoor programming with molecular testing?

RIAFS and BPT We have been busy making some plans that include our youngest community members and are delighted to announce that we will be holding our first outdoor event for CC toddlers (ages 3-9) this November–Fall Forest Adventure Day! This fully outdoor gathering is a trial run for more of these kinds of programs in the future.

Our Fall Forest Adventure Day is exclusively for Covid-Cautious families and will take place at the home of one of our Covid-Cautious parents about 15 miles west of Providence, Rhode Island.

The adventure is scheduled for November 1st 2026, from 2-4 pm.

Our Fall Forest Adventure will be an outdoor-only event. The location has a large yard, a porch/deck, a large grassy area, and woods with trails. There will be a range of creative and nature-based activities that have been designed to help our attendees to improve their communication skills, work on their emotional regulation, and start building relationships with each other. The Adventure may include games, bubbles, crafts, a scavenger hunt, a nature walk/animal spotting (wild bunnies, deer, frogs, wild turkeys and other birds are often seen!), autumn leaf collecting, and more. Outdoor camping toilet and sink available.

Parents and caregivers will remain onsite throughout the event they will take 30-minute shifts to help with the activities and to keep the child to adult ratio at about 4:1.

The Fall Forest Adventure will cost $95 for one child and an additional $65 for any siblings who also wish to attend. We are able to accommodate a limited number of older siblings by prior arrangement, please get in touch!
What Precautions Will Be in Place for the Event?

All participants in the Fall Forest Adventure will be required to wear a high-filtration respirator (N95 or better for adults, KN94 or better for kids) and to take a molecular COVID test on the day of the event. If you do not have access to molecular testing, we can help!

Additionally, parents, caregivers, and children should dress appropriately for exploring the forest and tick prevention (long sleeves, pants, hats); parents and caregivers should do tick checks on their children and themselves.

Details on testing, appropriate dress, and tick check instructions will be sent after registration.
